Playa del Duque is probably the prettiest beach in south Tenerife - and the most exclusive. 390 meters of light golden sand (almost white), 60 meters wide, spectacularly turquoise water. Breakwaters protect the beach and the water is calm, ideal for families. Blue Flag year after year. The beach sits in the most luxurious area of Costa Adeje, surrounded by 5-star hotels like the legendary Bahía del Duque and the Gran Tacande. A beautiful seafront promenade connects it to 8+ beaches (Fañabé, Torviscas, El Camisón...) - you can walk for kilometers along the sea. All services: lifeguards, showers, changing rooms, toilets, sunbeds and parasols for rent, wheelchair accessibility. 2 minutes walk away: Plaza del Duque Luxury Shopping - the largest luxury shopping center in Tenerife with Rolex, Gucci, Cartier and 50+ boutiques (separate card in the app).

Navigate to parkingThe prettiest beach in the south - the water color is spectacular, the sand is light and fine, and the setting with the luxury hotels gives it a very polished feel. Don't be intimidated by the 'luxury' - the beach is public and free like all beaches in Spain. Tip: use the Plaza del Duque parking (1h free) and walk down to the beach. The Corner (on the promenade, next to Bahía del Duque) has a good supermarket for buying drinks and snacks for the beach. The promenade is incredible for walking at sunset - it connects to Fañabé, Torviscas and continues all the way to Las Américas/Los Cristianos. High-level restaurants in the area - Nub (Michelin star at Bahía del Duque) if you want something special. For something more casual: the promenade terraces.
Costa Adeje developed as a luxury tourist zone from the 1980s-90s, positioning itself as the exclusive alternative to Playa de las Américas. The Hotel Bahía del Duque (opened 1993) was key in consolidating the area as a 5-star destination. The beach has received continuous Blue Flag awards.

From elevated promenade looking at beach: clear sand and turquoise water contrast beautifully. Best in morning light.
At sunset: the silhouette of La Gomera (and sometimes El Hierro) on the horizon in orange and pink tones. From the beach itself or from the rocks at the north end.
