Parque El Pinar

Canary pine park in the heart of La Victoria - mazes, zip lines, trails and tranquillity among fruit trees and heather.

A green oasis in the centre of La Victoria de Acentejo among Canary pines, heather and fruit trees. Over 25,000 m² with a maze, zip line, climbing wall, playgrounds, trails and a fitness area. It smells of figs and pine, and from the higher points you can see the Atlantic and Teide. La Victoria owes its name to the victorious battle of the Castilians against the Guanches - revenge for the defeat at La Matanza.

History

La Victoria de Acentejo owes its name to the 1495 battle in which the Castilians led by Alonso Fernández de Lugo defeated the Guanches, avenging the catastrophic defeat suffered a year earlier at nearby La Matanza ('The Massacre'). The park of over 25,000 m² is a green lung in the centre of the town, with Canary pines, heather and fruit trees.

Suggested route

Parking → entrance → maze and playground → trails uphill among pines → fitness area → benches with views → lunch at Brasa y Tinto (5 min by car).
